It has been about 1.5 months since the tree fell on our house and wrecked some havoc on our lifestyle. Since the storm, we managed to move out our furniture (all salvaged, yay!!), dry out the water damage and remove the damaged floors and walls. You can check our the storm removal photos to see the initial damage.
And tonight when I got home…ta da!! Yay! The siding hole was patched.
We had weeks of insurance visits, contractor visits, roofer visits and more. We shopped to replace our original teak we installed ourselves and couldn’t find it. So sad! We found an acacia wood that may work, but now we will have three different woods in our house. Oh well..if that’s the biggest worry our lives, we’ll live!
We had our room painted and it is a bit lighter than what we had before. The army green/gray looks nice in a slightly brighter color! I love it!
My husband has wanted to change the fireplace wall, which I happen to like as it is, into a fully stacked stone wall. I honestly don’t know why he dislikes that fireplace mantle, but sometimes, we have to give in!
Maybe it will look nice? Regardless of my tastes, I have to have the hubby have his way sometimes! He brought the stone home today for the fireplace wall. It looks nice below.
We’ve also had the bathroom ripped out. So excited to get it all started! Hello, shower 🙂
We have been struggling to choose a tile. First marble, then travertine, then, fully in love in MARBLE. It is so smooth, finished and shiny.
We’re still trying to decide and the tile below, Champagne Light marble on the left is a favorite.
Then we found the cappuccino… the beige looks lovely! Soon we’ll be choosing the final material and moving on!
