I love birthdays! I have been counting down to mine for about two weeks 🙂 I had a wonderful birthday this year thanks to all my family, friends and employees!
Since we can never wait till the actual day, the day before my birthday I came home to an egg hunt with clues taking me on a hunt through the house and yard. At the end was an early present – beautiful emerald dangle earrings! Lily had fun counting each gem and now I’m determined to find more green outfits to pair these with.
I was suspicious that something was brewing at work when my AP Manager came over the day before my birthday, asking me when I was finally leaving for the day. I humored her and left “early” at about 5pm. I arrived the next morning to an office filled with bright decorations and a beautiful orchid. Later an edible fruit bouquet and cupcakes showed up! What a wonderful staff I have!
Adam took me out to lunch at our favorite sushi restaurant (Sushi Nami off Windward Parkway for any of you in the Atlanta area – their ahi poke is to die for!).
The next day we went out to lunch and hit the jackpot shoe shopping. Welcome home, ladies!!
We stopped by my office on the way home and let Lily pop all the balloons. We had dinner out at our favorite downtown Roswell restaurant, Zest (after a nap!). More sushi and tapas!
I picked up a bunch of chicken from MyCommunityFoods.com and put together some different marinaded chicken to cook in a crock pot. I froze these mixes for future use – Cajun flavor, BBQ flavor and Ginger Teriyaki.
This Sunday we plan on some gardening and cooking. I’m sharing some Friendship Bread Starter with friends – can’t wait to bake ours!
What did YOU do this weekend? Anything fun?
