Weekend Fun at Home

We had a wonderful weekend, despite the fact that I had to spend some time in the office.  The weather in Atlanta was in the mid-60's which is quite warm for January.  We took advantage of it!

Adam spent time on his current favorite project, the deck.  He's extending it to make it easier to reach the hot tub controls.  Lily was a wonderful assistant and they made great progress.

We discovered two beautiful green tree frogs - one in the compost bin, and one in a flower pot.  Can you spot that pretty little thing below?

While Adam and Lily worked outside, I cooked up a storm so we would have leftovers for lunch and dinner this week.  The kitchen is probably my favorite part of the house!  I made a chicken pasta salad and a giant pot of stuffed cabbage.

Lily spent some time playing cooking, fashion, and amusement park games online.  I may have joined her for a while :)

What a great way to spend the weekend! (minus the time you had to work but you do what you have to do) We've been enjoying the mild weather, too. Riding scooters at the park in January is a treat!

Does your kitchen overlook that beautiful yard, because if so, that'd be my favorite room in the house too! :)

We recovered from the flu, but this weekend coming up is jam packed full of planned activities. woot!
