Guest Post by Jodi Thomas, author of Wild Texas Rose
I’ve always wanted to write a book that shows the different ways people fall in love and I got my chance in WILD TEXAS ROSE. I found the story great fun to write and loved the humor of the characters as I wrote. I always think of my characters as real living, breathing people who are like all of us, not perfect, but trying. So, come along with me through Fort Worth, Texas in 1876 and enjoy the adventure.
In WILD TEXAS ROSE, Rose McMurray is one of those wonderful people who is always organized. I hated her and loved her instantly when she walked off the pages of TALL, DARK AND TEXAN as a little girl and I understood her when she stepped into this book.
I had great fun mixing up the stories of people in this book. So often when people think they are all alone in the world they find they are surrounded by friends when trouble rides in. The love stories were also fun to write, for with the exception of one lady who took her clothes off for a living, most of the people were new to loving. On August 7th when this book hits, I’ll be like a proud parent standing outside the nursery windows looking at a newborn.
Hope all of you enjoy WILD TEXAS ROSE.
