I feel like I am constantly buying multiple jars of pasta sauce. I use it in a lot of recipes – from chili to pasta to baked dishes. We even like to dip out grilled cheese sandwiches in pasta sauce. I wanted to make a large batch of a heartier marinara sauce to have on hand. This recipe was easy and cooked for the day in my slow cooker.
2 lb ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic
Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Set to low.
Saute ground beef, onions and garlic over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meat is no longer pink. Spoon sausage mixture into cooker. Stir in remaining ingredients.
