If there is one thing I can appreciate, it is a clean house. With two working parents, a child, and two cats, that is not always easily attainable. Even though we have the fabulous benefit of a cleaning lady, I still spend plenty of time on touch-up cleaning, dusting and organizing. Spring time means we try to deep clean certain areas, especially after the bulk of the pollen has passed. Some of my most satisfying cleaning projects involve a sense of appreciation for maintaining my furniture and knowing I have not only cleaned, but protected it. Recently I learned about the Guardsman “Stop Cleaning. Start Caring” campaign with design star Tracy Hutson – right up my alley!
Love Your Furniture with Our Beauty Routine
Furniture should be cared for in the same way we take care of ourselves. It’s more than dusting and polishing, it’s about nourishing, revitalizing and bringing out furniture’s inner beauty.
The ultimate therapy for your furniture comes from our 20+ signature products — cleaners, polishes, stain removers and more — tailored for wood, fabric and leather furnishings.
I received a Guardsman Purifying Furniture Wood Cleaner to try out. We have a lot of wood pieces, from our big dining room table, to a buffet, kind sized bed, and various cabinets. I love making sure each piece is cleaned and protected. Currently the wood furniture that gets the most use in our home is Lily’s little table. Often times the three of us will sit around her table on the little kids chairs and enjoy breakfast, a snack or an art project. The table sure takes a beating – spills, paint, crayons and scratches. I hope one day to pass the little wooden table along to a family member or Lily’s own children.
I thought the wood cleaner did really well on this table and on my large solid wood farmhouse-style dining table. It was not overly greasy and left the wood looking refreshed and clean.
