I’m Michelle, a mother of two boys under the age of two, an Army wife, freelance photographer, blogger, and someone with entirely too many other hobbies. I’m married to Michael, yet, don’t let the name similarities fool you! I think I am literally the opposite of my husband. I’m 5’5” and he’s 6’6”. I’m messy, and he cleans early on Saturday morning so he can relax the rest of the weekend. I love to try new things and collect: books, photos, musical instruments, paints, fabric, yarn, etc. I secretly wish I were a hippie, selling handmade goods and homegrown veggies on the side of the road with a child on each hip. My husband’s favorite things are guns, the Military channel, and trying to throw my random collections away. In spite of how different we are, somehow we meet in the middle and get along surprisingly well.
Our little family began in January 2009, when Mike and I ran off to Vegas and got married a few days after he joined the Army. A few months later, we transplanted from Southern California to Clarksville, TN and our first son, Jacob, was born September. Before my husband deployed to Afghanistan in August 2010, we decided to add another member to our family, and Elliot made his arrival this past April.
