Do you have a pile of rubber bands in your junk drawer? You know – the ones that come wrapped around your mail or a bunch of broccoli? I save mine and use them as extra grippers around jar lids. When my strong, jar-opening husband is MIA, I’m never at a loss when I need to open a jar of pasta sauce or salsa. This is a super cheap (free!) way to open those tough jars. Simply wrap the rubber band around your lid and you have an extra grip on your jar that will help you twist it open in no time.
