Mad Gab's Wildly Natural Bodycare Review

What is Mad Gab's? They are a fun bunch of hardworking folks who have been making natural body care since 1991 when the founder stumbled across a recipe for lip balm and thought it looked easy enough to make. Armed with beeswax from her neighbor and supplies from a local health food store, Gabrielle went to work in her mother's kitchen. The rest is history! Mad Gab's is now located in a 4500 square foot space in Westbrook's Dana Warp Mill, where they make, ship and sell their wonderful products. What started out as a solo journey in my mother's kitchen has become an unbelievable collaboration of talents and a wild ride with no end in sight!
Mad Gab's products include:
Lip Balm Tins: classic, best-selling lip balm, made with olive oil and beeswax to soothe and moisturize, Tins are compact and re-usable.
Lip Balm Tubes: Same formula as the tins, with added SPF 15 to protect lips from the sun
Body Balms: Ingredients like shea butter, olive oil, and jojoba, these balms effortlessly moisturize, soothe and soften skin.
SPF Face Sunblock: Made with organic jojoba and cocoa butter, this face stick is a no-mess way to protect your face and neck from harmful rays - great for kids!
Lip Shimmer: Naturally tinted and made with mango butter and oilve oil to moisturize as they shine.
Mad Gab's sent us a whole slew of their awesome products to review. Let me tell you, I am so glad Lily's not any older or I have a feeling some of this cool stuff would disappear from my purse. My favorite products were the shimmer sticks. The Bear Shimmer in Plum and the Giraffe Shimmer in Pink have a wonderful scent and enough color to let you skip the liptstick. They retail for only $5 a pop.
We also tried the Mad Gab's lip savers and who can say no to a cute, silver tin with a lobster on it?! The lip balm had a great scent and texture.
We received a Moose Balm Gift set which included a container of Sleepy Moose Balm and two lovely Moose Smooches...blueberry and cranberry - YUM! Both smooches are SPF 15 and petroleum-free! Mad Gab's carries a wide variety of gift sets that I think would make a fun gift for someone in your life...my neighbor Debbie, for example, who checks in on our cats when we travel.Last but not least, Mad Gab's sent us a wonderful soy travel candle to enjoy - boy do I wish we had this along last weekend when we stayed at the worse hotel I've ever encountered! Personally, I think this is a great candle to have in a powder room during a big party, or in your kitchen while cooking stinky garlic and onion-laden dishes (mmm...I LOVE garlic and onions!).
