No matter how much I would like to start my own garden, I know I simply do not have the time. Luckily enough, a coworker mentioned that they were purchasing produce from Farmers Market Baskets. I checked out the website and signed up right away. If we can get 10 individuals to sign up at work, the baskets can be delivered to us. Right now we are taking turns picking them up. This was my first week and I was shocked at how big the basket was. I paid the initial $10 membership fee and then $15 for the regular basket. It came with the following: cantaloupe, cucumbers, oranges, carrots, plumb tomatoes, strawberries, green beans, apples, cabbage, romaine lettuce, green onions, bananas, and a bunch of sweet potatoes.
Lily was thrilled to see a giant basket of veggies since she is a big fruit and veggie lover. Here she is picking out the ones she wanted to snack on when we got home – tomatoes and lettuce 🙂 Marlow the cat was not very interested since raw meat was not involved. FarmersMarketBaskets.com are available near me in the Atlanta, GA area but I am sure there are services like this for you near your home. I was absolutely shocked at how much produce I received for a mere $15 bucks. I am going to be a loyal member! I was so happy to discover this service since just the other week I was saying I needed to completely re-vamp our menu planning. Just thought I would share this with you all!
